Scoremark Supplemental Terms

1. Scope and agreement

“Scoremark” means the Scoremark by Bovo web application and its related score-personalization, attribution, investigation, workspace, and download features. By accessing or using Scoremark, you agree to both the Bovo Terms and these Scoremark Terms. If you use Scoremark for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. What Scoremark provides

Scoremark creates buyer-specific copies of finished music-score PDFs and reports matching issued license records and quantities from submitted PDFs or images. Exact-file hashes and authenticated page marks are license evidence; a reference found only in editable PDF metadata is limited evidence. Scoremark is not unbreakable digital-rights management, and cropping, alteration, low image quality, missing records, or other changes may prevent verification.

Scoremark does not determine whether an organization’s actual use complies with a license or whether a legal violation occurred. The applicable rights holder makes that determination.

You are responsible for reviewing every preview before approval and for retaining your own source and completed files. Scoremark may refuse processing when it cannot place or inspect a mark safely.

3. Your files and limited processing license

You retain your ownership rights in every score, image, and other file you upload to Scoremark (“Scoremark Uploaded Files”). You represent that you own or have all rights and permissions necessary to upload and process those files and to provide any buyer information entered into Scoremark.

Notwithstanding any broader User Content license in the Bovo Terms, for Scoremark Uploaded Files you grant Bovo only a limited, non-exclusive license to receive, temporarily store, reproduce, inspect, and modify the files as necessary to provide the Scoremark request you initiate, secure the service, and return the requested result. This license ends when the applicable file is deleted from Scoremark, except that retained non-content records described below remain subject to these Scoremark Terms.

Bovo does not use, and does not permit its service providers to use, Scoremark Uploaded Files or their contents to train or fine-tune artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

4. File expiry and retained records

Personalization source files, generated files, and previews expire one hour after submission and are then automatically deleted. Investigation evidence is deleted when processing finishes; if processing cannot complete, it expires after one hour and is then automatically deleted.

Scoremark separately retains operational and attribution records, which may include buyer names, purchase dates, licensed quantities, order and forensic identifiers, document hashes, investigation findings, job status, membership information, and security audit events. These records do not contain the score itself. Workspace administrators may search, export, or delete certain records using Scoremark.

5. Plans, trials, subscriptions, and usage

Hosted Scoremark plans include the finalized-copy, investigation, and seat allowances shown on the pricing page. A buyer’s licensed quantity does not multiply usage. A copy counts when its preview is approved, and an investigation counts when processing completes. Failed jobs, abandoned drafts, preview rerenders, and downloads do not count.

The Creator trial lasts 30 days, does not require a card, and is available once per eligible Personal workspace. Paid subscriptions renew automatically monthly or annually until canceled. Annual allowances are available upfront for the subscription year. Prices exclude applicable tax. Promotional eligibility and duration are shown when offered and are enforced through Stripe.

Scoremark warns as usage approaches the included allowance, provides the stated courtesy buffer, and then pauses new work; it does not automatically charge overages or upgrade a plan. Supported upgrades may take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades, annual-to-monthly changes, and cancellation take effect at renewal. Except where law requires otherwise, subscription charges are non-refundable and Scoremark does not provide prorated cash refunds.

After a failed payment, Scoremark may provide seven days of continued access while Stripe retries collection. A Personal workspace may then return to Free limits. A Team workspace may become read-only, while retaining access to existing records, downloads, exports, and billing. Stripe may cancel an unpaid subscription after its recovery period.

6. Your responsibilities

• Use Scoremark only with files and personal information you are authorized to process.
• Comply with copyright, privacy, consumer-protection, and other applicable laws.
• Protect your account, recovery codes, downloaded files, and exported records.
• Do not use Scoremark to distribute malware, evade access controls, misidentify a person, or infringe another person’s rights.

7. Workspaces and Team access

A Personal workspace is private to its account holder. Team administrators control invitations, roles, membership, records, and exports within their Team workspace. Team availability may depend on an entitlement or paid plan. You are responsible for actions taken by people you authorize to access your workspace.

8. Parent terms and contact

Eligibility, suspension and termination, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, dispute resolution, governing law, and other provisions in the Bovo Terms apply to Scoremark unless these Scoremark Terms expressly say otherwise.
